Our membership programme was developed out of the need to consolidate our effects as an industry. In accordance with international best practice; the BPIAJ serves as the unified voice of the BPO sector in Jamaica. As a membership organization, we represent the interests of the companies and individuals in the outsourcing industry. We are guided by our Constitution and Code of Ethics which outlines the principles we expect our membership to adhere to in order to maintain the highest practice and standards in the industry.

We are passionate about excellent outsourcing, building brand Jamaica and promoting social and economic development through investments and job creation.

We promote the interest of the Outsourcing sector by representing our membership at all levels.

Advocate for better policies

The GSAJ lobbies the Government of Jamaica to ensure the regulatory system creates business friendly policies and legislations that will enable Jamaica’s competitive advantage as an outsourcing destination. The GSAJ lobbied on issues such as cyber-crime, industry training, infrastructure development, financing for GSS entities, taxation and the incentive regime. Our advocacy campaigns includes:

The Outsourcing Debate

The Outsourcing Debate is a BPIAJ led initiative to build public confidence in the outsourcing industry. Through its #bpojamaica and #exploreBPO campaigns, the BPIAJ seeks to posit facts to debunk myths about what the sector does and its contribution to the economy. This increase awareness drives seeks to improve business, career and linkages opportunity in the industry.

Infrastructure for Growth

A strong infrastructure is essential to the growth and expansion of Jamaica's outsourcing industry. The BPIAJ promotes public-private sector partnerships to enable investments in high-quality, affordable infrastructure. The BPIAJ serves as the key liaison between Government Representatives and Stakeholders to ensure the business environment is conducive to growth.

​Promoting Innovation & Entrepreneurship through Incubation​

The GSAJ Contact Center Incubator is a premier cutting-edge business development solution geared towards aiding early-staged and growing businesses with opportunity to fast track start up time and costs through its plug n play facility.

The turnkey 200-seat facility comes with furnished office space, shared office facilities, facilitation and business development services.

The BPO Contact Center Incubator was developed to strengthen the competitiveness of Jamaica as a destination for Nearshore services and to increase the number of SME’s in Jamaica’s BPO industry.

The facility was developed with funding received under the Compete Caribbean Initiative and in-kind support from the Montego Bay Free Zone Company and Cable & Wireless Business (formerly Columbus Business Solutions).

Our Turn-Key Incubator Solutions

The Business Process Industry Association of Jamaica (BPIAJ) provides a plug n play solution to potential and existing investors and entrepreneurs to fast tracking business startup and expansions in the sector.

Expectations of the incubator includes:

  • A safe, attractive cost competitive operating space
  • Environment promoting entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Helpful and courteous staff to assist you and your business

The services to be offered by the incubator include:

  • Office space, fully equipped with requisite furniture and technology for lease to client companies
  • Shared administrative, resource center and training room that operates during working hours and available to all clients.
  • Business facilitation and development support through the Incubator partners – Montego Bay Free Zone Company, HEART-National Training Agency and Jamaica Promotions Corporation and Cable & Wireless Business.
  • Administrative services such as onsite security, camera and proxy access system
  • Marketing & Promotions Opportunities – through industry promotion activities and exhibitions at trade shows/expos.

The GSAJ Incubator initiative has served us and other players in the industry well, as a new firm you don't have to focus on finding office space or capital to buy equipment, just simply plug and play. The incubator allowed us to save some capital...it does play a huge role...thanks GSAJ.
